Lolly's Hut Celebrates 25th Anniversary

The Route 58 breakfast favorite serves up delicious fare and heaping helpings of hometown spirit.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Just the name "Lolly's Hut" conjures up delectable images of fluffy eggs, crisp bacon, mouthwatering pancakes and other breakfast favorites that come served with a heaping helping of hometown spirit in Riverhead.

And on Thursday, Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter and the town board turned out to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lolly's Hut.

Lolly Turbush Mckay, of the Turbush racing family, opened Lolly's Hut on Oct. 5, 1992 in a 1940s snack bar, located on Route 58, town officials said.

Town officials, family and friends gathered at the celebration, where Mckay was presented with a proclamation.
