Thanks to Retro Fitness, aspiring rock stars have a chance to play at the Nikon Jones Beach Theater this summer on the Retro Fitness Side Stage, at the same event as a Grammy award winning alternative rock band.
Now until May 31, all local Long Island bands are encouraged to enter the contest by submitting a video to the Fit for Fame Facebook App. Bands have creative freedom when it comes to the video, as long as they showcase their rock star potential. After submitting, contestants can share the video on their social media sites to electrify their fans before voting starts on Sunday, June 1.

Whichever band receives the most votes on the app by the end of June gets to perform in front of a live audience at a local concert this summer. If there is a tie, Retro Fitness will decide which band will best represent them on the branded stage.

“Music is the fuel behind fitness,” said the founder and CEO of Retro Fitness, Eric Casaburi. “We are holding this competition to help showcase the bands in the local community, because we know there is a ton of musical talent in Long Island.”
