Long Island Man Drove Drunk With 2-Year-Old in Backseat: Police
The man was arrested following a sobriety checkpoint in Riverhead.

A Calverton man was arrested after police say he drove drunk with his 2-year-old daughter in the backseat.
Around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, Sergio Vidales Valle, 29, stopped at a sobriety checkpoint on Route 25A in Riverhead. Police said Vidales Valle showed signs of intoxication and was arrested.
He was taken to the Riverside State Police barracks for processing.

Vidales Valle’s 2-year-old daughter and wife were in the backseat, police said. The two were taken back to their residence.
Vidales Valle was charged with driving while under the influence and aggravated driving while under the influence under Leandra’s law. He was held overnight at the Suffolk County Jail pending arraignment on Sunday.
