Join the Peconic Land Trust for an undersea exploration at Southampton Town’s Marine Park. Meet the educators from the NY State DEC who will provide nets to gently capture the creatures of the bay. Learn more about the influence of the Shinnecock Inlet on the inhabitants of Shinnecock Bay, then collect, examine up-close and safely release an amazing variety of crabs, small fish, mollusks and even shrimp. All attendees must wear water shoes to protect feet, and be prepared to get wet! Don’t forget your sun block.
