Vehicles Stranded as Major Flooding Hits Some Riverhead Roads
Officials warn drivers to avoid certain roads.

Riverhead Town officials are warning drivers that snow and ice that melted on Wednesday has caused some major flooding on local roads.
Reeves Avenue, Doctor’s Path, the southern end of Hulse Landing Road and any low-lying roadways are currently experiencing major flooding, officials said.
Travelers should seek alternate routes as vehicles have become stranded.

Officials warned drivers to not attempt to drive over a flooded road but to turn around and go another way.
