Male Tries To Pry Open Window At North Fork Home, Flees: Cops
The incident happened hours after someone broke into an Aquebogue house in the dead of night, while a woman was home, and stole her purse.

JAMESPORT, NY — Just hours after someone broke into a woman's home while she was inside and stole her purse, a male tried to pry open the window at a house in South Jamesport, police said.
According to the Riverhead Police Department, the incident took place on Friday at 9:57 a.m. on South Jamesport Avenue in Jamesport; a caller said an unknown male was trying to pry open the window at his residence, police said.
When the male realized the homeowner was in the house, he fled north onto South Jamesport Ave., police said.

Patrol units arrived on the scene shortly after and a search of the area was conducted with the assistance from the Suffolk County Sheriff Department's K-9 unit; no suspect was located in the area, police said.
The male is described as in his late teens to early 20s with a thin build, police said. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential.
