Man Busted for DWI After Failing to Dim Headlights: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead man was cuffed after he was caught driving drunk on Friday, police said.

According to New York State Police, Marvin M. Cortez, 27, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for failing to dim his headlights on Railroad Avenue.

Investigation and standardized tests revealed Cortez to be intoxicated, police said; Cortez is due back at Riverhead Justice Court on January 9, police said.
