Man Busted for Swiping Speedway Coin Machine in Wading River: Police

The theft took place on Valentine's Day, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY - A Wading River man who walked off with a Speedway coin machine was busted Wednesday, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, William Parson, 34, was arrested at noon on Wednesday and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, for a theft that occurred on February 14 from Speedway on Route 25A in Wading River.

Police said Parson entered the store and removed the machine-operated coin machine containing currency.

An investigation into the incident by the Riverhead Police Department's COPE unit resulted in the arrest, police said.

Parson was arraigned in Riverhead Town Justice Court, police said.
