Man Caught With Crack Cocaine, Scale During Riverhead Traffic Stop: Police
BREAKING: The man was remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was arrested Wednesday after he was caught with crack cocaine and a digital scale during a traffic stop in Riverhead, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Taequan Booker was arrested at 4:03 p.m. when the Riverhead Town COPE unit conducted a traffic stop on Hubbard Avenue. Information about Booker's age and where he resides was not included in a press release and not immediately available.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Booker, a passenger in the vehicle, had an active New York City Police Department warrant, police said.

Booker was found to be in possession of an amount of crack cocaine and a digital scale, police said.
Booker was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was processed and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail, police said.
