Man Caught Driving Drunk on Route 25: Police

He was stopped for "dazzling" head lights, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Connecticut man was nabbed for driving drunk in Riverhead last week, police said.

According to New York State Police, Gil E. Mitchell, 65, was arrested on July 26 on New York State Route 25 in Riverhead and charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for "dazzling head lights", police said.

Mitchell was issued an appearance ticket and is expected back in Riverhead Justice Court on August 10, police said.
