Man Caught With Loaded Handgun, Oxycodone: Cops
The loaded handgun was found after a traffic stop, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Calverton man was caught with a loaded gun and Oxycodone in Riverhead, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the police department's COPE unit conducted a traffic stop on Kroemer Avenue near Old County Road on Saturday at 5:58 p.m. COPE officers conducted a narcotic search and found a quantity of marijuana, along with a loaded Ruger LCP .380 handgun, police said.
Roger Foster Jr., 21, was later found to be in possession of Oxycodone hydrochloride pills, police said.

He was arrested and charged with second degree possession of a loaded firearm, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
He was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
