Man Extricated From Vehicle After Jeep Overturns in Calverton
BREAKING: The Jeep left the roadway and came to rest on its side, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man, 25, was airlifted after an accident in Calverton Sunday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a 2004 Jeep Cherokee left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its side on Route 25 in Calverton at 11:15 p.m.
Riverhead Fire Department and Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene. The driver of the vehicle was extricated and transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man injured.
The accident is under investigation by the Riverhead Police Department's detective division, police said.
