Man Physically Assaulted During Burglary At His Home: Police
The incident took place on Tuesday night in Aquebogue, police say.
AQUEBOGUE, NY — A man was physically assaulted during an Aquebogue burglary Tuesday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, at 7:40 p.m., a 911 call came in from a resident of Hobson Drive, who said that his home had just been burglarized by an unknown person who assaulted him and removed money from his bedroom.
The person then fled the scene in a gray pickup heading east on Hubbard Avenue, police said. The resident sustained minor injuries and was treated at Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.

Detectives believe the burglary was not random and is an isolated incident, police said.
