Man Punched In The Face, Knocked Down, Robbed In Riverhead: Police

The thieves stole a cell phone and cash from his pockets and ran, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two men punched a victim in the face, knocked him down, and robbed him in Riverhead Sunday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident happened at 11:20 p.m. on Sandy Hollow Court when a male victim was approached by two men in their 20s who punched him in the face and knocked him to the ground, then removed his cell phone and cash from his pockets and fled the scene.

The duo headed south on Raynor Avenue, police said.
