Man Robbed At Knifepoint In Dollar Tree Parking Lot: Police

Two men and a woman stole money and personal belongings from the man, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was robbed at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Riverhead Dollar Tree Wednesday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 6:23 p.m. in the parking lot of the store, located on Old Country Road. A 53-year-old man said he was in his vehicle in the parking lot when a woman got into the car and shut it off, police said.

At the same time, two men walked up to the vehicle, opened the driver's side door, and demanded his money while displaying a knife, police said. Money and personal belongings were stolen from the man, police said.

The three then fled the area before police arrived, authorities said.
