Man Robs Taxi Driver at Gunpoint: Cops
The took money and a cell phone from the driver, police say.
A man robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Riverhead on the night of Christmas Eve, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police responded to a report of a robbery occurring at the intersection of Old Farm Road and Arrowhead Avenue at about 6:52 p.m.
The robber was described as a man with a thin build, neatly dressed, and wearing dark clothing, according to police.

He fled on foot after stealing money and a cell phone from the driver, police said.
A search of the area was conducted, however the man was not located.
