Man Stabbed In Head, Back, Arm During Fight; 2 Charged: Cops

He was found bleeding from stab wounds and rushed by Suffolk County aviation for treatment, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was stabbed multiple times during a fight at a Riverhead home on Sunday, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, reports came in on Sunday at 7:21 p.m. about a fight at a residence on Maple Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a man bleeding from multiple stab wounds to the head, back, arm and hand; he was treated at the scene by members of the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps and flown to Stony Brook University Hospital by Suffolk County Police aviation due to the nature of his injuries, police said.

A search of the area was conducted and two teen males were located around Main Street; both teens were found to be involved in the incident, police said.

Michael Lozano-Bueono, 17, and Juan Jose, 18, both of Riverhead, were arrested and charged with second degree assault, a felony, police said. They were transported to the Riverhead Police Department where they were processed and held for arraignment, police said.

The victim is in stable condition and is expected to fully recover from his injuries, police said.

Mug shots were not released due to the defendants' ages, police said.
