Man Stole Catalytic Converters From 3 Vehicles In Calverton: Police

He was arrested on Thursday after stealing the catalytic converters in August, police say.

CALVERTON, NY — A Medford man was arrested Thursday after he stole catalytic converters from three vehicles in Calverton in August, police said.

Jason Labbe stole the catalytic converters from vehicles parked behind a locked and fenced-in parking lot at Broken Arrow Industries on August 22, Riverhead Town police said.

The incident was documented and turned over to the Riverhead Police Department's detective division for further investigation, police said.

Labbe was arrested and charged with first-degree auto stripping; two counts of third-degree grand larceny; three counts of second-degree criminal mischief; one count of third-degree criminal mischief; and fourth-degree grand larceny, police said.

Labbe was slated for arraignment at Riverhead Town justice court on Thursday, police said.
