Man Stopped for Illegal U Turn Charged With DWI: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Bayville man was arrested after he was caught driving drunk in Riverhead, police said.

According to New York State Police, Carlin C. Griffin, 25, was arrested on Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop for an improper U turn on West Main Street in Riverhead.

Investigation and standardized testing revealed Griffin to be intoxicated, police said. He is due to appear back in Riverhead Justice Court on Nov. 30, police said.
