Man With Suspended License Arrested on DWI Charge in Flanders: Police

A Flanders man with a suspended license was arrested for DWI charge in Flanders on Wednesday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.

Julio Colon, 46, was stopped for a traffic infraction on Evergreen Road at about 2:23 a.m.

Investigation revealed he was driving in an intoxicated condition and that his license was suspended for a prior conviction of driving while ability impaired by alcohol, according to police.

He was charged with DWI and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.

Colon was arrested at the scene, transported to police headquarters for processing, and held for morning arraignment, according to police.
