Man's Car Shot Up By Gunfire: Police
The gunfire does not appear to be random, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Blasts of gunfire damaged a Riverhead man's car early Friday morning, police say.
According to Riverhead Town Police, authorities were contacted at 3:24 a.m. by a man, 31, at the Doctors Path apartment complex who said his 2007 Cadillac was damaged by gunfire.
Police responded to the apartment complex; a search of the area revealed the presence of numerous expended shell casings and other evidence of gunfire in the immediate area, police said.

The gunfire appears to be related to an incident reported earlier in the evening and the damage to the vehicle does not appear to be the result of a random act, police said.
There are currently no witnesses or suspects, police said.
