Why are you seeking elective office?
I wish to expand my 18 years of service to the Town of Southampton on the zoning board of appeals, including as chairperson since 2017, by being elected Southampton Town Justice
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
As a judicial candidate, I am prohibited from speaking about political issues. I intend to be a fair and impartial Southampton Town Justice if I am elected.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a judicial candidate, I can talk about my experience as an attorney who has practiced law for 28 years, and how my work both as a private attorney, and as a member of the zoning board of appeals for 18 years, has provided me with the legal skills and knowledge to be ready for the important position of Southampton Town Justice on Day One.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
As a judicial candidate, I am prohibited from discussing other candidates, except to say that based on my experience, I am qualified to serve as Southampton Town Justice. This year I was found qualified as a candidate for Southampton Town Justice by the Judicial Screening Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
If anyone wants to see how I handle myself as a public official, they can go to the Southampton Town website, and watch any meeting of the Southampton Town zoning board of appeals that I have chaired for many years. I serve as a fair and impartial chairperson of the zoning board of appeals, and I intend to serve as a fair and impartial Southampton Town Justice if elected.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
You learn more from listening to others than talking to others. This was advice that my grandfather gave me when I was very young.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I was raised in Sag Harbor, and I have lived in Hampton Bays for the last 20 years. I am devoted to my local community, and I am proud of my many years of service to Southampton Town. I am asking for the support of all voters, regardless of political affiliation, in early voting, absentee voting, or voting on Election Day, November 2, 2021. I will be on the Democratic line (Row A) and the Clean Water Party line. I am asking for your support, and your vote.
