Missing Riverhead Teen Found Safe
She was located and returned without incident, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A missing teen has been found safe, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Mackenzie Merkle, 15, was located and returned without injury or further incident and is no longer considered missing.
She left her residence in the overnight hours of Wednesday July 10; no foul play was suspected, police said.
