New Shinnecock Eats Cafe Unveiled In Southampton
"We wanted to create a 'house of food' for our followers that could truly capture the essence of the local feel."

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — There's a new eatery that's opened its doors in Southampton, promising a wide array of mouthwatering options.
Shinnecock Nation tribal leader Lance Gumbs and chef Marco Barrila, founders of the Shinnecock Lobster Factory, the local seafood spot that opened in 2017, have announced the opening of their first café style restaurant, Shinnecock Eats Cafe.
Located just steps away from the Shinneocock Lobster Factory at 42 Montauk Hwy. in
Southampton, across from the fire station at the St. Andrews stoplight, the eatery offers all-day dishes and to-go options.

The permanent cafe was the former Indian Outpost deli owned and operated by Gumbs, widely known for its popular fried chicken.
"Promising an authentic local experience, a new specially curated menu is complete with slow food, fast fun options with a little sophistication," a release said.

The menu includes native cuisine such as bison burgers and fresh-harvested clam chowder; empanadas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas; Italian pasta bowls with bolognese sauce, eggplant Norma, fra diavolo dishes, lasagna and many more. Delicious breakfast fare is also an option.
There will also be a number of offerings available from the Lobster Factory seafood menu served inside for the winter.
"With the famous fried chicken and sides served daily, the hot food bar is perfect for in and out breakfast, lunch and dinners. Including a wide selection of savory dishes along with brunch on Sundays," the release said.
"We wanted to create a 'house of food' for our followers that could truly capture the essence of the local feel — not just in the dishes that will be served, but in the full experience from the moment you step into the space," said Sheila Barrila, head of marketing. "The Shinnecock Eats Cafe offers something for everybody and we encourage everyone to come in and try a dish or snack."
The cafe will also offer fresh baked desserts daily, as well as catering; special dietary requests can be accommodated, too. All dishes are made to order, Barrila said.
The eatery will deliver within a five-mile radius or further for catering or larger orders; an app is coming soon that will allow for instant ordering.
While Shinnecock Eats Cafe officially opened on New Year's Day, a public grand opening is also planned for spring.
"The first 400 visitors to the Shinnecock Eats Cafe will receive one free select menu item along with a chance for other special surprises, while supplies last," the release said.
