New Tractor Supply Company Location Opens In Calverton

CALVERTON, NY — A Tractor Supply Company location has opened in Calverton. Tractor Supply Company, or TSC, known as the largest retail farm and ranch supply chain in the United States, celebrated the grand opening of its second store on Long Island on Oct. 19, a release said.

The first TSC on Long Island opened in Medford last year, said New England Retail Properties, the company that brought both locations to the area.

Located at 4331 Middle Country Road, or Route 25, in Calverton, TSC officially opened its doors to the public on Oct. 4. The grand opening featured farm animals from a local co-op including goats and llamas. Local Long Island radio station “My Country” 96.1 was also in attendance with games and prizes.

The 19,097-square foot store has everything customers need to maintain their farms, ranches, homes and animals, a release said. Another 18,000 square feet of outdoor display and sales space is located on site adjacent to the store featuring power equipment, trailers and other larger items.

The Calverton Tractor Supply Co. store was developed by Calverton Development Partners LLC, a subsidiary of New England Retail Properties, Inc. of Wethersfield, CT, the release said.

Matthew Darling and Mark D'Addabbo spearheaded the project from its inception in 2015, bringing the property from zoning process to store turnover; another 17,500 square feet of retail space is slated to be developed on the property in the future, the release said. The property was approved and has permits to construct three additional buildings, two of which will be 4,000 square feet and one, which will be 9,450 square feet. New England Retail is currently soliciting tenants for the available spaces to come, the release said.
