One Injured in Jamesport Sound Avenue Crash

RIVERHEAD, NY - At least one person was injured in an accident at the intersection of Herricks Lane and Sound Avenue Friday, officials said.

According to Riverhead Town police, the accident took place just after noon, but it was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved and how serious injuries may have been.

Jamesport Fire Department responded to the scene, and one firefighter said that he believed at least one person was injured and would be transported to the hospital, but details remained unclear.
