One Winner, Two Honorable Mentions at Brookhaven Science Fair
Congratulations to the student winners.
One Riverhead student received first place and two Riverhead students received honorable mentions at the 2015 Brookhaven National Lab Elementary Science Fair last month.
Over 500 science projects from 118 Suffolk County schools were entered into the fair which sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory and coordinated by the Lab’s Office of Educational Programs.
Brookhaven scientists, engineers, technical staff, and teachers from local elementary schools judged the projects.

Riley Elementary School student Mark Burns (second grade) won first place while students Logan Levesque (Kindergarten) and Liam Levesque (fourth grade) won honorable mentions.
