Peconic Community School to Host Fundraising Event
The event will take place on Feb. 28.

The Peconic Community School will be hosting Discover: Education for a Better World, a fundraising event to take place on Saturday, Feb. 28
The festivities will begin at 12 p.m. with workshops and demos at Peconic Community School on 269 Main Road in Aquebogue until 3 p.m.
Organizations involved include Hallockville Museum Farm, Chidren’s Museum of the East End, the Block Spot, Ellen Nora’s art studio, and more.

All workshops and demos are free.
From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the school will host a Speaker Series featuring prominent speakers on the topic of education: including Ameer Mourad from the Institute of Play in NYC, Jerry Mintz from the Alternative Education Resource Organization (AERO), and Writer Mimosa Jones Tunney.

Tickets cost $30.
The festivities will end with a party at the Greenport Harbor Brewing Company at the new location at 42155 Main Road in Peconic.
Gene Casey and the Lone Sharkswill be performing.
Tickets cost $35 and $50 for an all inclusive ticket for speaker series and after party
