Pizza Deliveryman Punched In Face, Pie Stolen: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — A pizza deliveryman was robbed in Riverhead early Friday, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, the incident took place at 12:15 a.m. on East Main Street; a man reported that while making a pizza delivery, he was approached by three males, police said. When the deliveryman requested payment for the delivery, the three punched him in the face, took the pizza, and fled west, police said.

Riverhead Police patrol units and a K-9 officer responded to the scene and conducted a search, but did not find the trio; the victim refused medical treatment, police said.
