Poetry Street's Open Mic To Be Held This Sunday At Blue Duck Bakery Cafe
The fourth Open Mic event will be held this Sunday, Sept. 28 starting at 2 p.m.

Poetry Street’s fourth “Open Mic” will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Blue Duck Bakery Cafe, 309 East Main Street in Riverhead from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will feature Joey Milbauer, a young poet discovered at Poetry Street’s first open mic back in June. This month’s theme is “Be the change you want to see”.
“Poetry Street gives the community a voice through poetry and spoken word,” Bubbie Brown, Riverhead poet and community leader said. “Because every voice is heard and valued, Poetry Street offers an alternative to racial division. It’s about prevention of strife, with a message of life.”
