Police: Flanders Man Choked, Assaulted Person
The man allegedly placed his victim in a choke hold and punched him in the head, police say.
A Flanders man was arrested for assaulting a person in Flanders on Thursday night, Southampton Town Police report on Tuesday.
Joseph Manglaviti, 23, was involved in an altercation where he placed the victim in an apparent chokehold and punched him in the head on Fanning Road at about 9 p.m., according to police.
The victim was treated for his injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

Manglaviti was taken to Town Police Headquarters for arrest processing.
He was charged with second degree strangulation and third degree assault, police said.

He was held for morning arraignment.
