Police: Florida Woman Hit Woman With Car in Parking Lot of Hotel Indigo
The woman hit by the car was sent to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

A Florida woman was arrested for hitting a woman with her car after they were involved in a fight at the Hotel Indigo in Riverhead on Friday afternoon, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Riverhead Police Department responded to the Hotel Indigo on 1830 W. Main Street in Riverhead shortly before 2 p.m. on a report of a pedestrian struck by a car, police said.
Police found the pedestrian, Rita Rios, 22 of Illinois, and the driver of the car, 26-year-old Jaqulynn Vaughn, of Florida, police said.

According to police, Rios had been in a physical altercation with Vaughn in the parking lot.
The fight escalated and Vaughn hit Rios with her car, police said.

Rios was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Vaughn was arrested and charged with second degree assault, police said.
She was processed and held for arraignment.
