Police: Former Employee Burglarizes Riverhead Restaurant
The incident occurred last Thursday.

A former employee was arrested on Thursday after burglarizing the North Fork Tasting Room in Riverhead last week, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police responded to the restaurant on 3225 Sound Avenue on a report of a commercial burglary investigation on July 9, police said.
At the time of the report, it was reported a former employee, Edgar J. Castillo, 26, of Riverhead, entered the restaurant in the overnight hours and removed computer equipment and assorted change, police said.

The Riverhead Detective Division was notified and responded.
After a thorough investigation, Castillo was arrested for third degree burglary, which led to the recovery of some of the stolen items, according to police.

He was processed and held for arraignment.
