Police Investigating Riverhead House Fire

No injuries were reported.

Riverhead Town Police are investigating a house fire in Riverhead that occurred last month.

Residents of a home on Harrison Avenue reported a fire on May 31 at 11:23 p.m., police said on Wednesday.

The Riverhead Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire and none of the residents of the home were injured, police said.

The residents were able to return to the home, which sustained a small amount of fire and smoke damage, according to police.

A member of the Riverhead Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene and requested the assistance of the Suffolk County Arson Squad to determine the cause of the fire, according to police.
