Police: Islandia Teen Arrested For McGann-Mercy High School Bomb Threat
The arrest was made on Monday.

An Islandia teen was arrested for making a bomb threat at McGann-Mercy High School on Monday, according to Riverhead Town Police.
The Riverhead Police Department received a call on Monday at about 3:44 p.m, from the high school administration reporting that a note was found on school property advising them of a bomb threat, according to police.

A subsequent investigation by the Riverhead Detective Division led to the arrest of 17-year-old Michael Calandra, police said.

He was arrested for second degree falsely reporting an incident, according to police.
He was taken into custody, processed and released on an appearance ticket for Riverhead Justice Court arraignment.
