Police: Jamesport Man Arrested On DWI Charge In Mattituck

Southold Police arrested a Jamesport man on Thursday at 1:20 a.m. who was driving drunk on Route 25.

Porfirio Martinez, 30, was operating a 1993 Nissan eastbound on Route 25 by Elijah’s Lane. He was pulled over by police after he failed to maintain his lane and crossed a double yellow line.

A further investigation found Martinez to be intoxicated. He was arrested, transported to Southold Police headquarters where he was processed and held overnight until his arraignment in the morning.
