Police: Man Previously Convicted For DWI Arrested For Consuming Alcohol In Car

State Police arrested a Mastic man who was previously convicted for DWI and was seen consuming alcohol in a car in Riverhead on Sunday, police said.

Jared Obrien, 28, was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated.

He was stopped for driving across hazardous markings, moving from lane unsafely, speeding, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unsafe tire and tinted windows on Old Country Road in Riverhead, police said.

Investigation revealed Obrien was intoxicated, police said. He has a prior conviction for DWI within the past 10 years and was arraigned on Sunday, police said.
