
A man was hospitalized after he was stabbed at a Riverhead motel that occurred last month, Riverhead Town Police reported on Friday.
Police received a report of a stabbing which occurred at the Greenview Motel, located at 1433 West Main Street on Nov. 13 at about 7:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found a 30-year-old male with a puncture wound to his abdomen and a laceration to his arm, according to police.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance responded to treat the subject and transported him to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, which were said to be non-life threatening, according to police.
An investigation found that the victim got into a verbal argument with another man, which then escalated into a physical altercation, police said.

The man fled the scene on foot and a search of the area revealed negative results.
The man is described as in his late 20s, tall, with a thin build, according to police.
He was last seen running westbound on West Main Street wearing a blue and red baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt, tan jeans and white sneakers, police said.
