Police Release Photo of Riverhead Sunglass Hut Robber

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department are looking for the man pictured above who they say robbed a Riverhead store early this week.

On Jan. 6, at 1:55 p.m., police say an unknown white man, wearing a black colored hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses, displayed a knife and demanded money from a store employee at the Sunglass Hut in the Tanger Outlet Mall, at 1770 West Main Street.

The suspect fled on foot into the parking area with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
