Police: Riverhead Business Robbed at Gunpoint

A man armed with a gun robbed a Riverhead business Tuesday night, police said.

Riverhead Town Police said they responded to a robbery at Damaris Multiservice at 725 E. Main Street.

Employees at the money transfer business told police that a man entered the store wearing a ski mask and displaying a handgun.

The man pointed the gun at employees and demanded money, police said.

The robber then fled the store with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

Police searched the area for the suspect, but no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information is requested to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500 ext. 313.
