Police: Riverhead Man Stole Beer From Brewery

Local man arrested Monday for theft that occurred last month, police say.

A Riverhead man has been arrested after breaking into a local brewery and stealing beer in May, according to Riverhead Town Police.

Patrick A. Degori, 55, was taken into custody for a burglary reported on May 27 at the Crooked Ladder Brewery on 70 West Main Street in Riverhead, police said.

It had been reported that someone forcibly entered a walk in freezer in the back of the store and took assorted beer, police said.

An investigation later revealed that Degori was responsible for the break in, according to police.

He was transported to the Riverhead Police Department, charged with third degree burglary and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, according to police.
