Police Seeking Help to Nab Pair Who Used Stolen Credit Cards in Riverhead: Police

A $5,000 reward is offered for information.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate two people who stole and used credit cards in Riverhead last year, police said.

According to police, a man and woman entered Vera Bradley, located at 1770 West Main Street, and stole credit cards from a customer’s purse on November 11 at 3:40 p.m. A short time later, the couple used the credit cards to buy merchandise at Walmart, Target and Staples in Riverhead, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
