Police Seeking Man Accused of Entering Woman's Car, Stealing Cell Phone in Riverhead
The incident occurred on Saturday morning.

Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man accused of entering a woman’s car and stealing her cell phone in Riverhead on Saturday morning.
Police received a 911 call for assistance in a parking lot on McDermott Avenue at 12: 26 a.m., police said.
Upon arrival responding officers interviewed a 26 year-old woman who reported she was “physically accosted” by an unknown man who entered her car while she was sitting in it and took her cell phone, police said.

The man then fled on foot south towards the Peconic River front, according to police.
