Police Seeking Those Responsible For High School Bomb Threats

Two Riverhead schools received bomb threats last month.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Police Department are looking to find the people responsible for numerous bomb threats at Bishop McGann Mercy High School and Riverhead High School last month.

Four bomb threats were reported during the month of January at the high schools.

A bomb threat was reported at Riverhead High School on Jan. 15.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500 extension 332 or extension 327. All calls will be kept confidential.
