Police: Three Arrested For Selling Alcohol to Minors

The arrests were made during a New York State Liquor Authority compliance check on Saturday.

Two men and one male juvenile were arrested for selling alcohol to minors after the Riverhead Town Police conducted a New York State Liquor Authority compliance check on Saturday.

During the compliance check, 24 establishments within the Town of Riverhead were checked and 21 locations were found to be in compliance with NYS Liquor Authority guidelines, police said.

The following three locations were found to be in violation of selling alcohol to minors:

  • Hessmart at 6305 Route 25A in Wading River
  • OK Petro at 1212 East Main St. in Riverhead
  • Riverhead Supermarket and Deli at 945 West Main St. in Riverhead

Barry Gamble, 59, of Wading River, Henry Castillo, 22, of Howard Beach and one unidentified male juvenile were arrested and charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child, police said.
