Possible Coronavirus Exposure Shuts Shoreham-Wading River Schools

BREAKING: Kids were being sent home Monday morning after parents received a robocall about coronavirus.

SHOREHAM-WADING RIVER — All schools in the Shoreham-Wading River School District were closed Monday after a staff member's spouse may have been exposed to coronavirus.

Parents took to social media to say that they'd received a call from the superintendent saying that the buses were rerouted as of 7:21 a.m. and all students were being sent home.

The news comes after word that the first Suffolk County coronavirus patient was being treated on the East End, first in Greenport and currently in Southampton.
