RIVERHEAD, NY — The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting for a brand-new Riverhead Town Hall.

The official dedication takes place on Wednesday, October 4, at 11:30 a.m.
Riverhead Town Hall offices will now be located at the former Peconic Bay Medical Center Foundation Entenmann campus, located at 4-6 West 2nd Street, at the corner of Griffing and Roanoke Avenues.

"The town has attempted to identify a new Town Hall and justice court location for more than two decades," Riverhead Town Supervisor Yvette Aguiar said. "With this new acquisition, Town Hall will move into a new building and the current Town Hall will become justice court."

She added: "This week, it is finally becoming a reality."

The campus signifies a $20 million land acquisition in Riverhead with four properties, Aguiar told Patch. The acquisition of the property, she said, created an opportunity for Riverhead to create a new Town Hall central to the town's overall ongoing planned downtown revitalization efforts.
