Pure North Fork Craft Bar & Bistro Hosts Grand Opening in Wading River

WADING RIVER, NY - A beautiful craft beer bistro celebrating the North Fork is set to hold its grand opening celebration in Wading River.

Pure North Fork Craft Bar & Bistro, which overlooks the 132-acre Great Rock Golf Course off Route 25A, will host its "Summer Soiree" grand opening festivities from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

“We really wanted to distinguish ourselves,” said general manager Brian Curtin, who assembled the diverse beer list and assisted in development of the menu, which includes pickle flights, Crescent Farm duck spring rolls, cheese and charcuterie, shellfish, burgers, steaks and more.

Former New York Jets players Wesley Walker and Erik Coleman will make appearances at the event, which will feature tastings from such local breweries as Greenport Harbor and Long Ireland, along with local wines; tastings from Pure’s artisanal food menu, which includes locally grown produce; a raw bar, a carving station, cheese and charcuterie, and the live music of the Gallagher Brothers.

Pure North Fork replaced Blackwell’s, a steak house that previously served as the golf course’s clubhouse restaurant.

Blackwell’s dark, wood-paneled walls have been replaced with a fresh, light airy look and the former steakhouse menu has been replaced by a diverse array of offerings.

Pure North Fork, which has been open for business since October, now is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Happy hour take place Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with $5 select draft beers and house wine and $5 mac and cheese, truffle parm fries and wings.
