Residents Displaced After Blaze Rips Through Riverhead Apartments: FD

RIVERHEAD, NY — Residents were displaced after a fire gutted the apartments where they were living in Riverhead Tuesday morning, officials said.

The fire broke out at 522 Pulaski Street just after 9 a.m., the Riverhead Volunteer Fire Department said. The Ridge Fire Department also responded to the scene, and the fire was extinguished by about 10:45 a.m.

No one was injured, but at least three residents were left unable to return to their homes due to the damage, fire officials said. The Red Cross was at the scene to help them, officials said.
