Riverhead Budget Passes With Ease
Laurie Downs, Christopher J. Dorr and Amelia Lantz won three Board of Education seats.
RIVERHEAD, NY - Voters passed the Riverhead Central School District's budget with ease on Tuesday.
The $130,669,295 budget passed 1,635 to 948, with residents electing Laurie Downs, with 1217 votes, and incumbents Christopher J. Dorr, with 1210 votes, and Amelia Lantz, with 1305 votes, to three open Board of Education seats.
The budget represents an increase of 3.78 percent.
